Mrs Kirby's Words Lent 1
After what I hope was a wonderful break filled with time spent with family and friends, we are back to school and straight back in to our lessons and new topics! From 'Once Upon a Time', 'Happily Ever After', 'Keep Calm and Carry on' and 'Fight for the Right' to 'Tales of the Barely Believable', 'From Bean to Bar' and 'Tardis Travel'. For the latter, Miss Sadler had to manage expectations explaining to the girls that they need not worry, they will not actually be travelling back to the pre-historic time!
The girls have lots to look forward to this term, including trips to RAF Hendon, The Natural History Museum, A visit to the 'Vote 100 Courage, Equality, Commemoration in Portraits' at the National Portrait Museum and the Roald Dahl Museum. The much-awaited Dance Show will be performed before half term; something which they girls have been working hard towards.
In our first assembly of the term, I talked to the girls about New Year's resolutions and that this time of year is a chance to reflect on setting targets to achieve. I also discussed the focus for this term which will be: Integrity.
Real integrity is doing the right thing, knowing that nobody's
going to know whether you did it or not.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.
