This week we celebrated Chinese New Year in many different ways; Year 5 and 6 created beautiful Chinese dragons (which can be seen up the stairs to the Upper Junior Corridor); cookery club cooked up some very delicious Chinese treats; Reception used chopsticks and tried prawn crackers and Year 2 made dragons, researched traditions and ate Chinese food.

Also this week...

The week started with a bang with the U11a Netball team successful securing their place at the ISA Netball Nationals. The team played extremely well at the regional round, finishing third. This is the first time we have made it to Nationals and we are all so proud and excited!

Year 1 immersed themselves even more into their topic (currently with a focus on the prehistoric era and dinosaurs!) They started the week by visiting the Natural History Museum, learning all about the T-Rex in action, as well as getting to see the Fossils Mary Anning discovered, after learning about her life in the classroom. In the middle of the week they were then treated to Teach-Rex - a morning of exciting dinosaur activities, learning all about the infamous T-Rex and seeing real dinosaur eggs!

Next week, we look forward the hotly anticipated Dance Show. This is one of our biggest events and the girls have been working so hard in preparation for it. We also look forward to the ISA Cross Country Regional competition, our Costume swap day and Mufti Day in support of the Gambia project that our Sixth Form are embarking on.
