Mrs Kirby's Weekly Words Lent 7
Roald Dahl and the Queen all in one week…
This week has been another week full of exciting activities, lots of learning and some great achievements. I am often visited by pupils to show me their excellent work, and this week was no exception; in fact I was visited by many this week. I have seen tricky decimal work and very creative poetry.
On Wednesday, Year 2 visited the home of the Queen whilst Year 3 visited the home of literature royalty, Roald Dahl. The girls demonstrated great knowledge and understanding of their topics.
Next week, we look forward to World Book Day on Thursday (a letter will be coming home to explain all of the exciting activities happening). On Tuesday, Year 6 are off to the Vote 100 exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery and I feel so lucky that I am able to attend this too! Wednesday sees Year 3 enjoy a morning of Electric Lego and on Thursday (in their costumes!) Year 6 will once again be excellent tour guides during our Open Morning.
We all look forward to welcoming Mrs Cooper (Miss Hurter) back to school on Monday after her beautiful wedding in South Africa.
PTA
We have our next PTA meeting on Monday, and I am so pleased to announce that Mrs Jones and Ms McShea have agreed to represent our Junior Girls on the PTA. There are lots of exciting events in the pipeline!
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.
