Mrs Kirby's Words Lent 8
Happy International Women's Day!
This week, Year 6 visited the National Portrait Gallery to continue to learn about Equality, Courage and Social Change, and specific paintings which represent the time of change for women. The girls' knowledge, engagement and responses completed the trip; in fact, they taught the workshop leader a thing or two about iconic women.
Also this week…
Year 3 enjoyed 'Electric Lego' at Junior Boys on Wednesday. The girls created mechanical cities and had a great time!
Yesterday was World Book Day and the girls’ costumes did not disappoint! The girls enjoyed different activities including visits to the Reading Doctor in which the girls were ‘prescribed’ books to read.
It's been a busy week and next week is another week full of exciting science activities to celebrate National Science Week! I look forward to sharing all of the things the girls get up to next week.
Next Friday 15 March, the PTA AGM takes place at 9am in the Mezzanine at Junior Boys to which you are all invited; members of our Pupil Voice will be presenting to all the members.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.
