Mrs Kirby's Weekly Words Summer 7
This week has been full of so much, despite the rain!
Year 3 visited Woburn Safari Park on Monday; Year 5 travelled to the Sea City museum in Southampton to learn more about the Titanic; and Lower Juniors ventured to Beale Park for their annual joint trip.
The star of the show this week was, however, our Upper Junior (not so!) Summer music concert on Tuesday. We were entertained with a night at the Oscars - the red carpet was, literally, rolled out! What I love about our concerts, is that every single pupil is involved. Every class performed at least twice and we were wowed with an array of talent from singing to playing a whole host of instruments. For a small school, to have two orchestras is pretty impressive! This event is just another example of the many exciting and creative opportunities the girls participate in which enrich their school lives.

In assembly this morning, I was privileged to hand out many awards; from our weekly merits and bunny awards to ISA and Key Values. In addition, however, we awarded the 39 girls who took their LAMDA exam in April their results and certificates - all passed and we even had 4 Grade 3 passes with Merit and Distinctions! Well done to everyone.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and fingers crossed that the sun comes back to us!
