Mrs Kirby's Words Autumn 2
First full week completed!
The girls are well and truly settled in/back in to School life. Timetables have been experienced in full and all that it is left is for our Activity programme to be fully up and running next week.
We had our first celebration assembly this morning in which we handed out many Merit Certificates (for effort and achievement) and our Bunny Awards (for going above and beyond our Golden Rules). This year we have also introduced Head Girl and Deputy Head Girl kindness awards. These will go to a Lower Junior and Upper Junior pupil who has been spotted being kind by Erin and Sophia. Also during this assembly, we award times tables badges as well as any other awards achieved outside of School (and birthdays too!).
Mrs King and I showed our first prospective parents of the year around our school this week, and I was reminded of just how much is on offer at Claires Court. We felt proud to be able to talk about the opportunities, as well as the investment in our sites and during our tour, the girls proved just how well-mannered and kind they are by opening doors and greeting each other (and us) politely.
Also this week, we welcomed the NSPCC to CCJG (they are visiting CCJB next week). The girls were incredibly attentive and came away remembering the key messages and the phone number. We will be running a fundraising event for the NSPCC next half term.
Thank you to all parents who attended our curriculum meetings this week in which your daughter’s curriculum for the year was discussed, as was timetables and homework. I hope this was useful and informative for you.
We are all looking forward to the Sports BBQ this evening; if I do not see you there, I hope you all enjoy a well earned restful weekend (I know the girls are in need of a rest after such a full on first week back!)
