Mrs Kirby's Weekly Words Autumn 4
It’s my final countdown but the girls are only just getting started!
We have only been back for three weeks and already so much has happened. Sports fixtures have been played (with many being won); Year 4’s chosen instruments have been handed out to them (commence the huge cellos being carried around school!); and we have been busily getting ready for Harvest Festival next week - this year with the theme of Eco-Harvest!
As I enjoy my final day before taking my maternity leave, it leaves me to say a huge thank you for all of your kind words and generous cards and gifts. As I said to the girls yesterday in assembly, the best part of my job is watching them progress over the year and I really will miss not being part of their day-to-day journey this year. However, I will be back in from time to time and Mrs King will keep me up to date with the going on’s of Junior Girls.
Mrs King is raring to get started in taking over as Head of Junior Girls this year. I wish her all the best of luck and know that she will do a fantastic job in my absence.
