Heads Words Summer Term Week 9
This week we hid the chocolate biscuits, cakes and sweets in the staff room and replaced them with strawberries and healthy flapjacks all for Healthy Eating Week. The girls were able to try different healthy snacks in the dining room and many of the less healthy items were not on sale (something which will continue in September). Unbeknown to us, the Catering Manager tracked the pupils’ lunch choices across all three sites and awarded prizes to the healthiest! You can see who was awarded below.
We also saw our Moving Up Morning take place this week and we welcomed many of our new pupils, joining us in September. The girls had lots of fun learning about what they have to look forward to next year from different trips and topics to the new desks in Year 3!
In athletics news, a few of our Year 5s and 6s were selected to represent the School in the senior Knight Frank event. As well as the team winning the whole event, we had some fantastic individual achievements. Yasmin Paton came 5th in the 1500m; Riley Hopley jumped 4.40m in the year 9&10 event, and came 3rd! And the relay teams came 3rd and 4th overall. Well done to all who competed.
