Mrs King's Words Autumn 13
Tis the season to be jolly…
Today festivity reached its peak with our Christmas Jumper Day, Christmas lunch and our special Christmas visitor. The girls looked fantastic in their festive jumpers and they were very excited when Father Christmas arrived in a bright orange VW Campervan! Many thanks to our PTA for helping Father Christmas and the elves by providing the gifts. Also today we wished Mrs Brown, lunchtime supervisor, a fond farewell as she retires at the end of term after 17 years of working at Claires Court. She had her own special Christmas lunch with lots of little elf visits and special gifts.
This week a group of Junior Girls visited Junior Boys to take part in a Chess Tournament. All of the girls played extremely well and Megan in Year 6 was awarded a medal for being the highest placed girl on the day. Well done!
News: In January we will have a new pedestrian gate for safer access to the site when dropping off and picking up. This will get rid of the need for parents and children to walk in and out of the vehicle entrance and exit.
Have a great weekend!
