Mrs King's Words Lent 3

Spend time doing what you love!
Now that our activities program is in full swing it has been fantastic to see the girls embracing all of the opportunities presented to them. We have lots of different activities on offer this term and it is fantastic to see so many girls trying new things.
With two parents evenings this term it is great to see so many of you and to catch up with how the term has started. Parents evenings are a fantastic opportunity to chat about how things are going and to celebrate your daughters’ successes. It was great to look through their books and see how much they have progressed and we’re only at the start of the term. Thank you for all of the wonderful and positive comments about our team and your daughters' learning.
I have been popping into classrooms this week to find out a bit more about the topics in each class, something I hope to do more in the coming weeks. The girls are always so willing to talk to me about their learning and it is clear they are enjoying what they do. I popped into a Year 6 science lesson where they were learning about the classification of animals. Meanwhile, in Year 1 the girls are hatching a dinosaur egg. They were telling me all about the conditions needed and how they have placed it next to the radiator to keep it warm. I am reliably informed that it has started to crack and they can see an eye!
Next week we look forward to Year 2 performing their class assembly all about The Great Fire of London. We also have our onward schooling information evening aimed at our Year 5 parents on Tuesday Evening from 5:15pm in the Chapel. At this meeting we aim to give you all the information you need to support you in your decisions for the next step in your child’s education.
Have a wonderful weekend.
