Mr Spanswick's Words Summer 10
Dear Parents and Guardians
A shorter set of words from me this week, despite my beloved Liverpool FC winning the Premier League title (had to mention this somewhere!).
As we build up towards the end of the academic year, I wanted to take this opportunity to thank the outstanding staff at Claires Court school for their unwavering support and incredible efforts during the lockdown period. From Nursery through to Sixth Form, the values our dedicated Principals and the whole community aspire to: Respect, Responsibility, Loyalty and Integrity, have been upheld in the most professional and nurturing manner. From our academic staff to our administrators, from our nurses to our ground staff, I am privileged to work with such wonderful people.
They say that leadership can be a lonely place. However, I have been blessed with the support of all the staff from each division, especially from the two superb senior leaders with whom I share an office, Ronell Selzer and Charlie Bretherton, who have a lot to put up with when I am there. Thank you.
Please stay safe this weekend. The re-opening of restaurants and pubs coincides with the news that areas around the country are at a high risk of further lockdown restrictions - not what we wanted to hear. Hopefully we can, by our actions, suppress the spread of the virus and eliminate the chance of the much talked about ‘second spike’. Time will tell.
Thank you for your continued support of the school, and I wish you all a restful and enjoyable weekend.
Best wishes
Justin Spanswick
Executive Headteacher
