Mrs Kirby's Words Week 2

Another week has flown by and it seems like we have been back for months! This week lots of exciting learning has taken place including parachutes being used in Year 5 to help create adjectives to describe rivers; writing instructions on how to wash a Woolly Mammoth in Year 3 and pond exploration in Nursery.
Swimming also started this week for Junior Girls… eventually! Some hadn’t been in a swimming pool for 6 months so this was a very exciting time for all.
Last week, we announced our roles of responsibility in Year 6. I am pleased to announce the following:
-
Head Girl Phoebe
-
Deputy Head Girl Casey
-
St Therese House Captain Alicia
-
St Francis House Captain Mayla
-
St Ignatius House Captain Holly
-
St Vincent House Captain Layla
An apology… and a celebration. Last week I should have celebrated Mr Laouira’s wonderful news that he and his wife welcomed their beautiful baby girl, Aida, into the world at the end of the summer holidays. Huge congratulations to them and we wish Mr Laouira a very enjoyable week, next week, when he takes his paternity leave.
Our School continues to have a wonderful buzz and it really is so great to be back!
Have a wonderful weekend.
