Mrs Kirby's Words Week 3
Magic and mystery has been in the air this week… From magic tricks shared, my two card tricks went down very well I might add, to witches from Macbeth appearing in the Year 5 classroom! These examples are a reminder of how ‘normal-ish’ things are here despite the current climate. Given the recent government update, which thankfully does not really affect schools, it is nice to be surrounded by such a refreshing buzz of creativity!
The girls have been busy filming pieces for our harvest festival this week; this compilation will be sent out to you next Friday. This celebration falls in healthy eating week which will also be a focus for us. Mrs Rogers will be ready with her ‘hydration station!’ and all teachers will be teaching and encouraging healthy lifestyles.
Today we held our first virtual open event which was a first for me! The most important thing missing from this… the girls! It’s sad that we can’t show off our kind, caring and confident pupils at the moment but hopefully I got this across in the best way possible.
Thank you for helping Junior Girls raised £89 for Jeans for Genes
Next week, Year 6 parents are invited to an online presentation with Mr Richards and I regarding Senior Girls. I hope you can all make it.
Have a wonderful weekend.
