Mrs Kirby's words summer week 10

Wow, what a week! We had so much to enjoy this week; I think it was a bit of an adrenaline overload compared to what we have been used to for the past year (which hasn’t been a lot).
Starting from last Friday, our Year 6's organised a ‘Sport Festival’ to celebrate National Sports Week. The whole school was involved and enjoyed lots of different events including Frisbee, obstacle courses and throwing. It was a lovely afternoon, ending with a staff beanbag-on-the-head race which Miss Pridham won!
Fast-forward to Tuesday, when Nursery Sports Day took place. This was honestly one of the best Nursery Sports Days I have experienced; everyone performed so well and enjoyed themselves so much! Smiles and cheering were everywhere to be seen.
Wednesday saw three sports days take place, each full of talent, good spirit and so much support. Thank you to Miss Hudson for organising all four sports days (!) and to all of you for coming along to spectate and encourage. We are thrilled that we have been able to continue with these events and I think we all needed them!
Yesterday afternoon was spent listening to wonderful pieces of music and songs played and sung by our musicians from Years 2 to 6 at Junior Boys. The girls and boys performed beautifully, especially given the fact they haven’t performed for such a long time. Thank you once again or everyone who came, it was a very relaxing and enjoyable afternoon.
Next week is our last full week of the year and we are very much NOT winding down. We are organising our Prize Giving events (details to follow), Lower Junior Swimming Gala and Musical Picnic; still lots to jam in and enjoy. We will make sure we finish this year on a high!
Have a lovely weekend.
