Mrs Kirby's words Autumn week 10
With three weeks to go until the end of term (I know!!), Christmas is sneaking in! Nativity rehearsals are well on their way as are our Carol Service rehearsals. We have so much to look forward to; even if we are forced to follow restrictions, we are determined to celebrate Christmas in as normal-a-way as possible.
The girls in Reception had the very important task this week of making missing posters when an important member of the team went missing! Hazel, our bunny for the weekly bunny award is missing! We think she is in school...have you seen her? If you’re not sure what she looks like, you can see a picture of her below!
Our Junior Girls have shown amazing resilience, maturity and consideration in what has been a challenging week. The focus on Friday was to talk about the origins of the American Thanksgiving celebration, how and why it is celebrated, and the things we should be thankful for. In our celebration assembly, we talked about being thankful and the girls shared their thoughts. It was heartwarming to hear suggestions such as friends and family, school, teachers, pets but also kindness, ideas and health.
Next week we look forward to the much anticipated Great Fire of London assembly and performance from Year 2. They have learned their lines and songs and they are ready to go! It will be wonderful to see some parents at school for this outdoor event and make sure you wrap up warm, it’s going to be chilly!
We are looking forward to so much in the coming weeks, including the PTA organised Christmas Market on 9 December.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.
