We have welcomed two girls from Ukraine with open arms.  What is remarkable, but not really a surprise when you get to know the Claires Court family, has been the community spirit, the desire to help, our flexibility, the can-do attitude and the acceptance of others. In essence, it has been a truly outstanding demonstration of British values at work; democracy, law, freedom, tolerance and understanding. It really has been a wonderful experience to be a small part of.

Another remarkable example of dedication, compassion and selflessness is the journey Scarlett (Year 4) has been on over the past few years growing her hair (with her Mum) ready for it to be cut and sent to The Princess Trust to help children who are having chemotherapy. They are also supporting the Skeletal Cancer Trust in honour of what the Specialists who set up this trust did to diagnose and treat Scarlett’s Dad. We are a great school and great schools work well when families are supportive and involved; this was clearly shown at our parental workshops this week. Thank you to all who came to our Well Being and Maths workshops; it was a pleasure to share our knowledge, thinking and practices with you.
