Exploring Space, Hip Hop Workshops And RNLI Talk
Well, another jam-packed, full of fun week has flown by at Claires Court Holiday Activities!
Urban Stylez, an award winning street dance company, and the RNLI, visited this week. Children of all ages were treated to hip hop and break dance workshops, and the RNLI gave a talk about how to keep safe in the water, what different flags mean and the potential dangers on the beach.
Those in the Mini, Mid, Kool group explored all the mysteries of solar systems, space and extraterrestrials; creating robots, spaceships and rockets and taking part in an alien hunt. Those in the Cool Xtra group baked cookies and rock buns symbolising planets, and put them in planetary order!
Meanwhile, with the Sport Xtra group, competitive spirit and determination was evident in their cricket sessions. The group worked hard this week on developing key fundamental skills in batting, bowling and fielding.
Roll on next week, when we will be travelling back to the time of pirates, parrots, ships and sharks!
Let the photos tell the story of the summer so far and view the gallery here.
