Historical Day Out at a Castle
It was a lovely spring day when pupils from Lower Junior Girls visited Windsor Castle.
On arrival they were greeted by the guards marching around the castle preparing for the ‘changing of the guard’. They also went went into St George’s Chapel and looked at it’s stunning features including where King Henry VIII is buried.
The girls were enthralled at how the royals live when they looked around the state apartments and talked about how the Castle as a home, was very different to their homes.
Year 1 Teacher, Lindsay King said;
“We learned so much. It was an amazing day and as always the girls did us proud with many visitors and staff at the castle commenting on how very well behaved they were.”
