Ellie Rayer Inspires The Next
Girls from Years 5 to 9 had a visit from GB Hockey player and former pupil, Ellie Rayer, in their lesson on Wednesday. She spoke of her journey through school and England Hockey, the importance of working as a team and how other sports gave her transferrable skills which have been of use in hockey.
Ellie also mentioned how she has to carefully balance her hockey career and university studies at Loughborough.
After her speech Ellie said:
“I know when I was at school, how much I would have loved to have had an England Hockey Player talk about her Journey, so I hope I have inspired the girls. I’ve done talks at schools, but it’s quite strange coming back to my old school and seeing everyone again.”
