Rugby Round-Up

Last Saturday saw Claires Court Junior Boys host the Under 9A and B rugby festival. We were joined by teams from Moulsford, Chesham Prep, St Georges, Gayhurst and Berkhamsted. Both U9A & B teams showed just how far they have come since the start of the season, with some excellent rugby played.
All matches were very competitive and great fun was had by all the pupils involved. Mr Butterfield would like to thank all the staff involved, particularly Mr Barber for organising the event, and the parents who came to support.
The Under 9s had a rest from regular fixtures this week and on Tuesday the year group played internal matches, allowing the staff to see players in different teams.
The U10s travelled to Oratory Prep School this week for what is always a very tough fixture. Whilst the results may not have gone our way on this occasion, all the staff returned to school commenting on the character the boys had shown during the afternoon.
The U11s played in a triangular fixture between Chesham Prep and Gayhurst. Our U11 are currently missing a few key players, due to injury, which made for a tricky afternoon. Whilst we lost a few matches to Chesham Prep, the A and B teams lost by only a single try. However, the D and E teams both recorded good wins. All the teams that played Gayhurst showed great composure and won these matches.
