Cooking Up A Storm!
Our Year 11 GCSE Food Preparation and Nutrition pupils, Layla, Amy, Ciara, Shanel, Alice and Issy, recently had their final practical exam. Tasked with making a three course meal in three hours from a UK region of their choice, the girls greatly impressed with their creative and delicious dishes.
Kerry Irons, Food Technology teacher was delighted with their efforts:
“Wow, wow, wow! All the girls’ dishes were amazing, and they all really pushed themselves to do high level skills. They all kept within the time frame and were very well organised.”

Main: Pork tenderloin with herb stuffing, hasselback potatoes, green beans and a white wine sauce
Dessert: Apple tart with homemade custard
