Victoria And Albert Museum A Level Trip
This week our Textiles A Level students visited the Balenciaga - Shaping Fashion exhibition at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
The exhibition examines the work and legacy of the influential Spanish couturier Cristóbal Balenciaga, with over 100 pieces crafted by ‘the master’ of couture, his protégées and contemporary fashion designers working in the same innovative tradition.
Sophie Langton, Textiles Teacher, said:
“The girls took photographs of the exhibition for their A level projects. They will use the photography to create drawings and develop them into fabric work for their A level projects.
“The girls loved all the garments which were on show and they spent time in the shop at the Victoria and Albert museum.”
