EPQ Research Trip

Year 12 Extended Project Qualification students paid their first visit to the brand new library building at Royal Holloway University. Named in honour of one of Britain’s most famous suffragettes and Royal Holloway alumna, the new Emily Wilding Davison Library is at the cutting edge of information provision.
Researching for the Extended Project Qualification can be daunting, especially when most quality academic sources require membership status or costly subscriptions. However the visiting students had the opportunity to scour academic databases for journals and ebooks while on site and all agreed their research trip was invaluable.
"This is an excellent opportunity to start their literature search and improve the depth and level of their resources" said Claires Court Librarian, Paula Copeman. "The students also learnt many valuable research skills, that are not just essential for their EPQ, but are a perfect preparation for undergraduate study."
