Claires Court Named ‘Apprenticeship Champion’
As a supporter of apprenticeships, Claires Court Sixth Form has been named an ‘Apprenticeship Champion’ by the National Apprenticeship Service.
Throughout the year, local apprenticeship providers come to the School to talk to students as part of our careers speaker programme, for example an apprentice from pharmaceutical company GSK visited the students this year. Former students who are now apprentices also come and speak to current students about routes and advice.
Many students have gone on to apprenticeships, including Miles Russell who went to Premier Foods in Cressex to take on a Level 3 Apprenticeship, working in food testing labs. Rebecca Yeabsley embarked on a Level 3 Event Management apprenticeship, and Tom Green is on a Level 3 IT apprenticeship at Heathrow Airport.
