Building Chinese Legends
Continuing on the topic of ‘China’, boys in Year 1 recreated the Chinese Dragon and learnt all about the Terracotta Army.
They used clay to make their own warriors and then mixed paint to try and get the "terracotta look". The boys had great fun even when the inevitable happened and some started to break and fall apart - the boys were full of mischief and said "what do you expect? we've just dug them up!"
To learn more about the Chinese New Year and the Dragon Dance, the children decorated their own dragon and tried to have a little dance but found it was a tad too windy for them to master the moves.
