House Poetry Competition

Over the past few weeks all boys from Years 3 to 6 have been busy learning poems by rote to perform in front of their peers at the House Poetry Competition.
The boys were asked to select a poem they connected with and would enjoy sharing. It was a tough selection as so many boys roused their audiences. However, 20 boys were selected to represent their houses in the finals.
The two judges Mr Luke Wespieser, Head of English at Senior Boys, and Jan Icke, Drama Teacher at Junior Boys, had difficult decisions to make but gave some great critique to the boys who all performed superbly.
Nicola Vine, Junior Boys English teacher, said:
“Fawley were the overall winners following some outstanding performances and the event was a great success!”
