Outward Bound Adventures in Cliveden
‘I’m going on an adventure!’ This was the thought of many of our Year 3 and 4 pupils last week as they embarked on their Outward Bound experience, which saw Year 3 roaming the grounds of Junior Boys and Year 4 exploring the National Trust site Cliveden.
An activity packed day saw pupils creating dens big enough for adults; measuring trees, creating art with items from the forest floor; picture clue orienteering and learning some life saving skills in the pool. A busy day was topped off with each year group enjoying a bbq at Junior Boys followed by s’mores and joke-telling around the campfire before the Year 3 pupils departed leaving Year 4 to enjoy their indoor campsite set up in the Sports Hall for the night.
Sarah Crowe, Junior Boys teaching assistant, commented:
“The emphasis of the day was to work as part of team to problem solve and achieve a common goal.”
