A Musical Night at the Movies

Earlier this term Upper Junior Girls wowed audience members, taking them on a trip to the movies with a concert that would rival even the ‘Greatest Showman’.
Guests were treated to powerful ballads from ‘School of Rock’, heart-felt portrayals of the orphans from ‘Annie’ and some cheeky animals from ‘The Lion King’ who just could not wait to be king! There were impeccable piano, trumpet and vocal solos which were interspersed with the instrumental delights of the Junior School Orchestra. The choir did not disappoint with high energy songs from ‘Mamma Mia’ along with the fun film medley, all of which were performed with a flash, bang wallop! Lastly, spectators were taken on an emotional journey with their finale song, ‘When I Grow Up’ from ‘Matilda’.
Emma Stevenson, Junior Girls Head of Music, commended the girls:
“A fantastic evening was had by all and the girls beamed all the way through it! Well done to everyone involved.”
