Rising Wimbledon Star
Well done to our Year 8 rising tennis star Issy, who after beating the Swedish No.2 in her age group, qualified for the main draw (64 players) of Tennis Europe Junior Tour in Sweden. In the U14 main draw she went on to play the No.4 seed from Russia (a tough draw indeed)and playing in an age group two years above her became of the top eight players.
Izzy commented,
“I came back yesterday from Sweden and I am so pleased to have got to the quarter finals despite playing with competitors two years above me. I train up to five days a week depending on the weather and have been taking part in tournaments since aged five after being inspired by my brother.”
