Pupils Oli and Alasdair listened to a lecture by Hector JR Maclennan, Master at Eton. The lecture was on the rise and fall of China in the last 150 years, looking at the history and politics behind the negative perceptions that the wider world, mostly from the view of the USA, have of China being a major threat.
