Save the Date for our Diamond Ball!
Please save the date for our PTA organised, sparkling Diamond Ball to be held on Saturday 11 June. Further details will be available soon along with early bird tickets too.
Buy your Christmas Trees from us
This year we are selling non-drop Nordmann Fir Christmas Trees, from 3ft-8ft, to raise funds for the Rowing Club. Our aim is to raise enough to buy a Coxless Quad for the Senior Girls! Each tree is 15% less than the normal prices you would find in garden centres so to order, please go to http://schl.cc/dj or see further details here.
ALL YEAR GROUPS
Face Masks
Unfortunately we are having to remind boys frequently about wearing their face masks and are still giving out many disposable face masks. Please may we ask you to discuss with your son the importance of bringing in his own reusable mask and wearing it to reduce the risk of Covid and keep everyone safe and in school.
LFT and PCR Testing
A reminder to continue Lateral Flow Testing twice weekly and report results via the GOV.UK website. Also please note, LFTs are for asymptomatic testing only, so if your son is displaying any of three main covid symptoms (temperature, cough or loss of smell), they must take a PCR test and should not come into school until you have received the results. Please inform the school of PCR test results once received.
Catering - w/c 15 November
We will thankfully be resuming normal catering services from next week, Monday 15 November. Boys wearing face masks will be permitted into the servery for breakfast, break time snacks and lunches, which no longer will need to be booked, although access will be restricted to year group bubbles.
YEAR 7 ONLY
Year 7 Workshare - Tuesday 16 November
Year 7 parents (and boys) are invited into school on Tuesday 16 November from 6pm to informally meet the teachers and look around classrooms. To permit this event to go ahead and reduce risk, we do need to ask that you please wear face masks and respect social distancing. If one classroom looks busy, please move onto another one and return to it later. Parking will be available, but please do not drive into school prior to 5.45pm, after which time the school coaches will have safely departed the site. Light refreshments will be available in the Dining Room.
YEAR 10 ONLY
Year 10 Teacher Appointments - Wednesday 17 / Thursday 18 November
Please find the presentation slides and a recording of the Virtual Information evening on 10 November. SchoolCloud is now open for bookings and will close at 10pm Monday, so all appointments will need to be made by then. Please find the following two user guides to help with the video appointments:
