From the Office
Year 13 - Study leave starts on Monday 16 May.
It has been lovely to see the many Y13 students have been coming into school for revision sessions this week. Any students in school who wish to have transport to Senior Boys from College for an afternoon exam are required to complete the document shared with them so that arrangements can be made to secure transport - this requires 48 hours notice. All students have their own personalised exam timetables.
Deadlines coming up
Student Finance Deadline - Friday 20 May
This is the deadline for applications to ensure that funds are available for the start of the Autumn term 2022. Applications may be made after this date, but it is not guaranteed that loan monies will be available for the beginning of term.
UCAS replies deadline - Thursday 9 June
This is the deadline for students to have replied to any UCAS offers received by 19 May. After this date, UCAS will withdraw all offers made to students so DO NOT MISS THIS DEADLINE.

On Wednesday 25 May join UCAS for an Online Discovery Day covering your next steps. You can hear expert led live talks, Live clinics and Personal Statement workshops and the chance to meet unis, colleges and employers. You can get your ticket here, and join in during your study periods . Here is part of the programme for the day:

Sixth Formers Organise Ethical Fashion Swap Shop
Isn't it great when an idea becomes reality? We were already proud of Soph
ie, Jess, Yasmin and Grace for winning the Rotary Environmental Competition for Claires Court Sixth Form in April, but they did not stop there. They took their idea for reducing the negative effects of the fast fashion industry and made it happen. Did you know The fashion industry is currently responsible for more annual carbon emissions than all international flights and maritime shipping combined?
Our Sixth Form students are always looking at ways to make a difference; and they did so by going through their wardrobes and donating their 'unloved' clothes. Everyone that donated an item came to replace it with an alternative one; they all had a great time looking at, trying on and taking their new clothes home, giving them a new lease of life.
Did they make good choices? Well for our planet certainly; and we think they look great too!
