Diamond Jubilee Ball
Thank you very much to all that attended the Diamond Jubilee ball last Saturday, it was a wonderful event to celebrate 60 years of the school. Photos of the evening will be available through your table organiser and will be sent directly to them next week!
Summer Fête - next Saturday 25 June
Please come along to the Junior Boys site next Saturday to our Summer Fête organised by the PTA. There will be street food from Presto and Greeklicious, bungee trampolines, bouncy castles, silent disco, independent stallholders, a bar serving Pimms plus activities run by our Senior Boys and Girls…the list goes on!!
As it’s to raise money for the PTA, the entrance fee is £10 per family of four or five or £3 per person. Payment in advance is requested ideally please via the parent pay portal and if you do so, you will be entered into a draw to win lunch from one of the food vendors.
We look forward to seeing you there!

Tempest Whole School Photograph - order by 21 June for free delivery
2023 Ski Trip to Austria - deadline for deposits 12 noon Wednesday 24 June
Please find the initial letter for next year's Ski Trip to Austria, which will be taking place 1 - 8 April 2023. Deposits of £250 for skiers and £300 for snowboarders (no novices) should be paid via the Payment Portal by 12 noon Wednesday 24 June. FYI there will also be an Easter Rowing Training Camp to Hazewinkel (Year 9-13 rowers) taking place at the same time.
REMINDER No Activities/Study & Early Buses - Tuesday 5 July
There will be no after school activities or study on Tuesday 5 July and early buses will be in operation departing Senior Boys as per a Friday due to our New Boys Evening.
Sports Day - Thursday AFTERNOON 7 July
Boys will be signing up for the events they wish to participate in at Sports Day during House Assembly on Wednesday 22 June. On the actual day of Sports Day, boys will need to wear a t-shirt in the colour of their house (Kelly - yellow, Ridgeway - green, Rowanhurst - red, St Lawrence - blue).

An Invitation to the Year 7 Drama and Music Festival - 5pm Friday 8 July
On Friday 8 July we have the Year 7 Drama and Music Festival, starting at 5pm in the Main Hall at Senior Boys, finishing around 6.30pm. Please join us for refreshments from 4.45pm, bringing friends and family, as all four Year 7 Form groups will be competing with their original pieces of theatre - two Victorian Melodramas and two Commedia dell'Arte performances - all framed by some talented musicians who will play before, during and after. Everyone in the Year is involved in the shows, so please come and show your support. Be prepared for an evening of ridiculous comedy and entertainment!

Year 9 Creative Arts and PE Choices - deadline TODAY 17 JUNE
If we had not yet had these choices for your son, you would have received a reminder email yesterday and we would be very grateful if you could please complete this form as soon as possible to choose three out of four subjects from Art, Drama, Music and PE for next academic year in Year 9.

Shout Out to Mr Cripps’ Year 9 English Class
Mr. Cripps would like to congratulate his Year 9 class for being absolutely superb this week as they embark on their iGCSE which they will be taking next year.

Year 10 Mock Examinations - Monday 27 June to Monday 4 July inclusive
The Year 10 Mock Examinations will take place week commencing 27 June upto and including Monday 4 July. A copy of the timetable which has been shared with pupils can be found here.
Sixth Form Taster Experience - Thursday 7 July
Year 10 boys have been invited to attend a Sixth Form taster morning on Thursday 7 July. They will attend taster lessons in their chosen subjects and have the opportunity to discuss the step up from GCSE to A Level/BTEC study with staff as well as meet with current Year 12 students. It will be an enriching and informative experience and we trust it will help the boys decide on a direction for the future.

YEAR 11 Thorpe Park CANCELLED
Due to low numbers and the date not being convenient for various reasons we have taken the difficult decision to cancel this trip. Apologies especially to those who had already made payment for the trip, please bear with finance as they make arrangements for refunds to be processed.
