PTA Christmas Market 9 December - sadly cancelled.
Due to the rising cases of Covid, we have unfortunately had to cancel the Junior PTA Christmas Market next week. We will however be supporting our local businesses on our Facebook page so please pop over there to take a look at the stallholders.
Foodshare - Christmas Wish List
A reminder that we are still collecting foodshare items up to Tuesday 14 December with the collection point via the School Office. So that we have a good selection of items we would like to suggest that each of our year groups donate:
Reception Children: Packets of Instant Custard/Instant Hot Chocolate
Year 1: Crisps/Pringles
Year 2: Twiglets/Cheese Savories
Year 3: Christmas Biscuits / Cartons of Fruit Juice
Year 4: Chutneys / Jars of Pickles, Beetroot & Onions
Year 5: Christmas Puddings / Mince Pies or Christmas Cakes
Year 6: Advent Calendars / Chocolate and Sweets
ISA Cartoon Competition
All of our Key Stage 2 Junior artists entered the ISA Comic Strip Competition this term. The theme was ‘Zero Waste’. Here are the pieces chosen for selection from CCJB & CCJG.

Carol Service - Tuesday 7 December
Just as a reminder this year’s Joint Carol Service is being held in the Sports Hall at Junior Boys. Years 3 & 4 at 10am and Years 5 & 6 at 2.30pm. There will be a retiring collection for All Saint’s Church if you would like to make a contribution.
Reception to Year 2 Junior Boys and Girls Only - ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’ - Wednesday 8 December

Christmas Lunch - Friday 10 December
It is assumed that ALL boys will have a Christmas Lunch at school on their allocated day as shown below, UNLESS you opt out by completing this Junior Boys Christmas Lunch Form by 5 December. If you opt out, please ensure your son brings a packed lunch with him instead. The £3.50 cost will automatically be deducted from the Payment Portal unless you have opted out.
- Wednesday 8 December - Years 3 and 4
- Thursday 9 December - Reception, Years 1 and 2
- Friday 10 December - Years 5 and 6
Please note on the two days when your son’s year group does not have their Christmas Lunch, there will be no other food available for lunch those days, so he will need to bring a packed lunch for those two days. Please also let us know of any dietary requirements via this same form.
‘Save the Children’ Christmas Jumper Day - Friday 10 December
Wear your festive jumper to school for a £1 donation. Please help us support this worthwhile charity. Junior Boys will also wear their Christmas jumpers for their Christmas lunch. Year 3 & 4 boys on Wednesday 8 December; Reception, Year 1 & 2 on Thursday 9 December and Year 5 & 6 on Friday 10 December.
Rabbit Awards
Awarded for kindness, helpfulness and compassion doing the right thing without being asked, it is what makes our school a wonderful environment. This week our rabbits have been awarded to Zac C (1F), Berty L (4H) and Alexander W (6H).

End of Term December 2021
Monday 13 December - Thursday 16 December
No Activities (inc Study) & Early Coaches Only.
After School Care @ College Avenue will continue to run from 4pm except for the last day of term. Please note that After School Care is chargeable. Christmas Jumpers can be worn on the last day of term on Thursday 16 December!
If not collected by 3:50pm, Junior Boys will get the early coach to College Avenue at 4pm.
Nearly New Sale
Items of school uniform will be available for purchase every Friday 8.15am-9am on the upper playground.

Please report a sickness absence/medical appointment before 9.30am to juniorboys@clairescourt.com or telephone 01628 327400. Holiday requests must be submitted in writing to juniorboys@clairescourt.com prior to any holiday being booked.
