From the Office
PTA Christmas Market 9 December - sadly cancelled.
Due to the rising cases of Covid, we have unfortunately had to cancel the Junior PTA Christmas Market next week. We will however be supporting our local businesses on our Facebook page so please pop over there to take a look at the stallholders.
Sixth Form December practice exams and February mock exams
The Sixth Form had a challenging week sitting their practice exams. The Y13 exams, held in lesson time, and the more formal Y12 exams in the library, served to remind them of how actual exams will feel. One student described the importance of checking what you have learned by applying it to unseen questions, commenting she would like exams more often! The results of the practice exams will be published within the next full report to parents in January.
The next series of exams will be the mock exams for both Y12 and Y13 students. These will be held in the Hall in the week from Monday 28 February 2022.
‘Save the Children’ Christmas Jumper Day - Friday 10 December
Wear your festive jumper to school for a £1 donation. £2 if you do not wear a festive jumper. Please help us support this worthwhile charity.
Sixth Form - Help the Homeless project
In the run up to Christmas, the Sixth Form are helping Foodshare with donations.
Thank you for your generosity already. Further donations can be made for the “Winter Warmer Rucksack” - in green below or to the “Homeless Food” in grey below. Students will have the opportunity to go to the Foodbank and package the items for 'presents'. All donations of these items will be accepted at the Sixth Form Office. A huge thank you to those parents who have already sent in donations. Mrs Rogers’ office is full of rucksacks and woolies and useful items!

LFT regular testing and PCR
Please ensure your son or daughter is Lateral Flow Testing twice weekly and reporting results via the GOV.UK website. You can order LFT kits here and we do have a small supply for emergency use but unfortunately the school cannot supply these directly to parents anymore.
Please remember LFTs are for asymptomatic testing only, so if they display any of three main covid symptoms (temperature or cough or loss of smell), they must take a PCR test and should not come into school until they have received a negative result. Please inform the school of PCR test results once received. Thank you.
