Drugs Awareness Talk (Virtual) - Tuesday 25 January
Please join Bob Tait from Drug Education UK at 7pm next Tuesday for a virtual Drugs Awareness talk for parents. Please join with your camera and mic turned off. Information and the link to join the meet has been emailed home recently.
Unifrog Virtual Meet (Virtual) Y7 - Y11 Wednesday 27 January 7pm
We would like to invite you to join us virtually to the launch of the school's partnership with Unifrog. Unifrog is a careers platform that students will be using with their tutors, to explore the world of employment and education. The meeting will show some of the key features of Unifrog and will include details of how parents can create an account for themselves, to find information to discuss with pupils. There will be a brief presentation and Q&A. The meeting should last approximately 30 minutes. Please join with your camera and mic turned off. Information and a link to the meet has been emailed home to parents earlier this week.
Play Book Bingo with the Library!
It's simple: collect a Book Bingo card from the library, 'read' a line, pass the book quizzes and win a prize. Complete as many lines as you like! Challenge ends on World Book Day, 3 March.
Wearing of Jewellery in School
Jewellery is not allowed, with the exception of one pair of plain, gold or silver earrings, maximum diameter of 3mm, in the earlobe. Please see Page 13 of the New Pupil and Parent Guide.
Maths Intervention Morning Sessions
Just a reminder about the Maths Intervention sessions taking place in TB3 Classroom:
Y7/8 8.45-9.10am Tuesday and Thursdays
Y9/10/11 8.45-9.10am Wednesdays and Fridays
Sports Fixtures
You will find details of fixtures on our website and the pupils will also find them on the Sports notice board in the Atrium.
Medication
Please note that any medication coming into school must be accompanied by the Administration of Medicine Request Form duly completed and dropped off via the school office who will give it to the School Nurse so they store and administer safely. Please do not put any tablets into your child’s school bag or give any to your daughter to keep with her.
Reporting Sickness/Medical Appointments/Requesting Holiday
Just a reminder to report sickness/medical appointments to girls@clairescourt.com or telephone 01628 327500 (you can leave a voicemail outside of school hours and this will get picked up once the office is open). For holiday requests please contact the School Office for the Holiday Request Form.
YEAR 9 ONLY
G9 GCSE Parent/Options Evening - Wednesday 2 February 6pm-8pm
The G9 Options Parents Evening will run as a normal parent evening with Mr Richards giving a short introduction in the hall before parents move onto their timed appointments with subject teachers at 6.35pm. Your daughter has been given access to the appointment sheet, for your reference here, to make these appointments for you.
Please may we ask that you wear a face covering when entering the building and hand sanitiser will be available upon arrival. Parents will be asked to sign in and out.
YEAR 11 ONLY
Full reports will be emailed home to parents on Friday 21 January, and will also be available via the Report Portal.
Midterm exams are scheduled for week commencing 7 March through to Friday 11 March and with the final day of exams being Monday 14 March.
