Year 12 and Year 13 have now completed their mock exams in most subjects and are looking forward to receiving feedback and grades in order to help them develop the mastery they seek and to identify areas they can improve in. Many of them have commented to me on how useful the experience has been and how they intend to harness what they have learned through it.

Sixth Form mock exams - w/c Monday 28 February
Mock exams for Sixth Form have taken place this week for Year 12 and Year 13 students in the majority of subjects. This will allow Year 13 students to make informed decisions as they reply to their Firm and Insurance university choices, following their 1:1 meeting with Mrs Rogers. Results cards will be sent to parents before Parents’ Evenings.

Letters to Year 13 parents have been sent this week. Letters to Year 12 parents will be sent out shortly.
Year 13 Home Study
We are offering Year 13 students the opportunity to study at home in Games lessons on Wednesday and Friday afternoons for the rest of this academic year. It is an opportunity for the students to develop their independent study skills further and prepare them for university or employment. Students wishing to apply for this privilege should see Mrs Rogers for an application form. The application will be subject to approval based on set criteria set out in the letter.
Year 13 Study Leave
Year 13 study leave will begin on Friday 13 May. On the day, there will be a final assembly for the students and lunch. Exams will begin w/c Monday 16 May at the Senior Boys site. Contingency day will be Wednesday 29 June and students must be available to take exams up to and including this date.
