Pastoral Care
Junior Boys has an excellent reputation for creating a school environment where pupils feel happy, secure and valued as individuals.
Much of our ethos is driven by the boys and their passion and understanding for our Golden Rules. They strive to be polite and well-mannered, they work hard to be good teammates and thoughtful caring friends. We ensure that the School has a ‘nurturing’ feel and our boys are all part of the school family.
Form tutors are primarily responsible for your son’s pastoral care and will be the person you are in most frequent contact with. Boys know who they can turn to if they need to talk to someone and all staff are responsible for the moral, social and cultural well-being of our pupils.
Every Friday the whole School attends a celebratory assembly of the week's achievements which range from academic excellence to individual moments of kindness. Each week, boys wait in awe to see if they have won the School's most coveted award, and one of the two Claires Court Rabbits, presented to pupils who have really been their best selves.
Junior Boys and Girls are taught our Golden Rules from Reception, they are the centre of everything we do....
