Sport
At Junior Boys sport is for everyone no matter what level your son might play at. Our boys enjoy playing different games with each other, learning the meaning of teamwork, patience, fair play and resilience.
Through timetabled PE and Games lessons and after school activities, pupils are encouraged to lead a healthy and active lifestyle.
As a result, your son will have plenty of opportunities to express himself in the sporting arena and learn many skills and strategies that will stand him in good stead for sport outside of School or in his secondary years. Team sports include football, rugby and cricket, but we also foster individual pursuits such as tennis, gymnastics and athletics. Being part of a bigger School means that at some of the major ISA events, our boys are part of the ‘Claires Court team’ and together are a winning force to be reckoned with!
The weekly swimming lesson, in the School pool, means that from a very young age your son will have exceptional water confidence and skills, ones he will be keen to show you at the annual swimming gala.
From Year 4 all pupils represent the School in rugby, football and cricket. There are a number of UK based sports tours that the boys enjoy, broadening their horizons, taking teamwork and resilience skills to new levels.
