Trips & Visits
At Junior Boys your son will experience new things that create a sense of awe and wonder at the world around him.
The wide variety of educational trips and memorable themed days provide opportunities that will build your son’s confidence, challenge him in new situations and encourage him to be inquisitive and questioning.
These first hand learning experiences bring learning to life. For example, Year 4 have great fun being archaeologists for the day at Highclere Castle when they unearth the historical facts of Ancient Egypt. Junior Girls and Boys come together for the the India topic, with a day experiencing life and school in an Indian Village. The Vikings have also been known to invade and hold a funeral for their king, with boys attending in full Viking costume!
For the younger years, learning is just as exhilarating and inspiring, a trip to the London Aquarium for Year 1 brings about lots of discussion for their 'Under the Sea' topic and the whole universe opens up to our starry eyed pupils when the visiting Planetarium Dome explains the wonders of day, night and gravity.
The contribution of visiting speakers and school trips broadens pupils’ educational horizons, making extensive use of the cultural and historic opportunities in the local area
