Trips & Visits
At every opportunity lessons come alive for our Junior Girls.
Some trips visit faraway places or go a long way back in time; the Year 4 India topic is enhanced by a day with the boys, experiencing life and school in an Indian Village in the grounds of Junior Boys. The Vikings have also been known to invade and hold a funeral for their king, with girls attending in full Viking costume!
From Year 3 girls learn so many new skills from our Outward Bound and Adventure Programme where risks are taken, problems are solved and thinking is critical. Adventures include: trips to Dinton Pastures, water based team building activities and weekends away; culminating in Year 6, with a week of field studies and outdoor pursuits!
For Reception to Year 2 adventure stays closer to home but even journeys on a bus to visit Maidenhead Library, exploring the woods and making dens at the Forest School in Windsor Great Park, create new and exciting learning challenges.
The contribution of visiting speakers and school trips broadens pupils’ educational horizons, making extensive use of the cultural and historic opportunities in the local area
