This Means War!

Year 6, in their studies of ancient Greek battles and battle tactics, had been preparing for this moment since the latter part of the Autumn term. Their excitement and enthusiasm was evident as the armies of Athens and Sparta stood facing each other to fight one of the last battles of the great Peloponnesian War.
Each warrior had made and brought his own weapons and knew that they had to work as a team in order to survive, using hoplite tactics. Could they come through unscathed, or would they fall gallantly like the warriors of Thermopylae?
Fraser, Year 6, commented:
“Working tactically as a team, we made a shield wall and defended the enemy attack really well. The battle was so much fun, and I felt like a true Greek warrior!”
