What’s been Cooking in the Food Prep Rooms?
Only five weeks into their GCSE Food Preparation and Nutrition course and Year 10 pupils are already producing restaurant standard meals!
On the menu this week was the classic meal of burger and chips and the girls made everything from scratch, including their own bread rolls, burgers, sauces and sides. There was such a wide variety of colours, flavours and textures, with the delicious aromas attracting all who were passing by!
Kerry Irons, Senior Girls Food Preparation and Nutrition teacher, praised the pupils’ efforts:
“The planning and preparation paid off, they all produced quality products that would rival some of the best restaurants around!”
