    After six years as Head Teacher of Senior Girls and the College Avenue site, Mr Paul Bevis had a wonderful send off from staff, pupils and parents on his last school day. During a special assembly the Reception class presented their own tribute to him in the form of a short video you can see below.

    End of Summer Term letter from James Wilding, Academic Principal.

     I am told that our nation’s favourite poem is Rudyard Kipling’s ‘If’. In my mind, this is a celebration on reaching maturity, a coming of age for ‘grown-ups’! It’s one thing to reach the statutory age of maturity, be that 16, 18, 21 or indeed 25, but that’s no guarantee that ‘common sense’ has arrived, or that ‘shoulders are broad enough to carry the load’.

    Activity Week 2017 ran from Monday 10 July - Thursday 11 July and was enjoyed by boys and girls from Year 7 to Year 10. The week aimed to further instill our Claires Court values and essentials such as responsibility, collaboration and risk-taking.

  • Physicists in Awe at Cern Trip

    From Sunday 2 July to Wednesday 5 July, Year 11 and Year 12 pupils headed to CERN, Geneva for a physics trip. Mr Clive Young, Physics teacher report on their trip:

    We arrived at Geneva airport around midday on the Sunday and after a short bus journey, checked into the Hotel Centrale, just off the main high street in Geneva.. Our trip started with an acclimatizing boat journey along the whole length of Lake Geneva passing close to the 140m water fountain (jet d’eau); a chance to relax and take in the sites.

  • Golfers Win the Baylis Cup School Team Competition

    Our golfers are celebrating their success after winning the ‘Baylis Cup’ on Monday 3 July. A competition supported by Maidenhead Golf Club and The Maidenhead Advertiser.  Competing against four other teams (Claires Court ‘A’ team, Edgbarrow and Burnham Grammar School) the Claires Court ‘B’ team  took the title in wonderful golfing weather.

  • Teaching Each Other New Skills

    On Saturday 1 July, the Arts Award pupils enjoyed themselves immensely, teaching each other their artistic skills.  Their workshops ranged from teaching each other how to play the drums, playing the piano to painting onto canvas.

  • Henley Royal Regatta 2017

    Tom Jost, Head of Rowing, reports back after a rather momentous Henley Royal Regatta for Claires Court.

    After coming fifteenth at the Schools Head in March, being beaten by Maidenhead by twenty seven seconds over a five minute race, to coming fourth at the National Schools Regatta just five weeks ago, nine seconds behind Windsor Boys School, we approached HRR 2017 with limited optimism. Oh how wrong we were!
