The Business Girls Network Conference

Stephanie Rogers, Head of Careers and Head of Year 12, took Sixth Formers Cami, Charlotte, Freya and Allegra to the Business Girls Network Conference at Riverside, Maidenhead yesterday.

There were over 100 delegates present. The girls were welcomed and interviewed on women who inspire them, and their aspirations for the future.

Amanda Ayres, founder and owner of The Business Girls Network created the network with one single aim in mind: to empower, support, and inspire female entrepreneurs or aspiring business women.

Amanda said:

“The girls were amazing and all the delegates commented on how eloquent they were. They were a real credit to the school.”

The four girls have volunteered to be network ambassadors for ‘Modern Muse’ who were present; an online platform designed to inspire and engage the next generation of female business leaders and entrepreneurs.

Cami, Sixth Form student, added:

“We found the experience to be very inspiring, and I was delighted to meet so many interesting and successful women. I’m really looking forward to being an ambassador for Modern Muse.”

The Sixth Form students also secured work experience during the event, with Freya having organised meeting and interviewing a clinical psychologist, and with Allegra going to a law firm in Bourne End.

To share their experience with their peers, the Sixth Formers who attended the conference are going to present an assembly to convey what they learnt.

Also at the event Claires Court Senior Girl Georgia, was awarded ‘Young Woman Of The Year’ - read more here.
