Heatwave at Holiday Activities

In a week of record breaking temperatures across Europe, children attending Holiday Activities prepared to embark on their own journey around the World. First stop, France!
Craft activities saw children looking closely at French culture, recreating famous French landmarks, such as the Eiffel Tower, out of foil, straws and scratch art. Taking inspiration from the French artist Vincent Van Gogh, sunflower scenes were created using coffee filter papers. Children also decorated roosters they had painted with feathers and crafted Tour de France bicycles!
As the heat soared during the week and the mercury hit 37 degrees Celsius, children and staff alike did their best to stay cool and keep hydrated during the heatwave with plenty of water play and ice lollies!
