Holiday club fun for half term

Claires Court’s holiday club returned during the October half term (week commencing 19 and 26 October).

Children joined in holiday fun including a wide-range of activities for ages three to 13 years olds like autumn art tree creation, Hallowe’en themed crafts and games, treasure hunt, blindfold dodgeball, team games, camouflage, battleships, den building, games, exercise activities, learning about autumn animals, and more. All the holiday club activities have been run with safety measures in place, such as bubbles, social distancing, and hand sanitising.

Anne Halpin, Holiday Club Manager, said: “Children have enjoyed a wonderful half term with a range of fun things to do indoors and out.

“We have extensive safety measures in place and are following government guidelines but due to the restrictions to limit the spread of Covid-19, the holiday club has been running for our existing school community. We hope to be able to extend future holiday clubs if safety measures relax further and we can increase the number of people attending.”

Mr Llewelyn commented “This week has been a great success for my son.”

And, Mrs Knight added: “My son always says ‘I wish I could stay longer.’ He loves being at Holiday Club.”

Harrison, a year five pupil, said: “I love coming to Holiday Club because I can see my friends and I’m away from the screen.”

Claires Court’s holiday club runs during most holidays at its sites in Maidenhead. The next holiday club will be advertised on Claires Court’s website, subject to any local or national Covid-19 safety restrictions.
