ROARING Fun Last Week
Holiday Activities have been busy again with their Animal Safari week. On Tuesday ‘fear factor challenges’ were enjoyed where boys and girls challenged themselves to put their hands into boxes of snakes, maggots and frogs… marshmallows.
Mike Beale, local author of Crumbles Adventures joined Holiday Club for storytime and colouring in, along with his dog Crumble! At the end of the day children were able to purchase a book with the proceeds going to Fight for George charity.
Art activities included making lions, creating colourful semaphore flags and the staff made some amazing Winnie the Pooh and Piglet balloons!
Other activities this week saw the children take part in a delicious chocolate workshop where they discovered the delights of working with chocolate! They made unique creations and packaged their treats to make their perfect gift to take home. The next day they enjoyed a Mad Hatter's Tea Party with the boys and girls creating savoury and sweet delights, including mini quiches, sultana scones, jam tarts and butterfly cakes. In their own words the kids LOVED IT! It was a lot of fun and they especially liked tasting what they had made.
