PTA Summer Fete 2017

Having gone through several weeks of very hot weather and the hottest summer to date since 1976, it was like some strange quirk that the day of the Festival dawned overcast and a little dull.  However, the spirits were high and the sun did decide to peep through to shine on the throng at Junior Boys enjoying all the attractions.

PTA Summer FeteThere was plenty for everyone from smashing china, coconut shy, have a go on the go-kart, a ride on the Lions train, bouncy castles as well as the ‘shopping street’ for those who fancied a little browse at the goods on display.  Junior Girls gave a delightful dancing display and face painting was there for the young – and older(!) to enjoy.  A gun dog display ran at the bottom of the field with the dog displaying his (or her!) talents.

Music was provided by the pupils and the bar and Pimm’s tent as ever, did a roaring trade.  For those who were peckish, burgers and hot dogs were on sale as well as pizzas and a lovely range of Indian food.  Tea and cake was also there for the traditionalists with the ice cream van catering for those who wanted to cool down.

Thank you to our PTA, staff and pupils for hosting such a superb event, and a bigger thank you to all those that came and enjoyed the occasion.
