Senior Boys Sports Day 2017
Senior Boys Sports Day took place on Friday 23 June on a pleasant warm afternoon which was a relief after the sweltering temperatures earlier in the week. 183 boys represented the four Houses in this annual contest on what was a very competitive but enjoyable event for all present. There were four school records broken on the day with Ben Morgan breaking the Year 7 100 metres and Triple Jump records, while Byron Ewing broke the Year 9 100 metres record and Connor Peters broke the Year 7 Javelin record.
The Victor Ludorum trophies for each year group were won by Ben Morgan (Year 7), Jaco Overturf (Year 8), Byron Ewing (Year 9) and Ed Cameron (Year 10). In the House competition, Ridgeway came fourth with 427 points, St Lawrence third with 460 points, Kelly second with 465 points and the overall winners were Rowanhurst with 469 points. The overall ‘House’ competition was extremely close as can be seen with just four points separating first and second place and only nine points separating the top three ‘Houses’.
